Dean's Message

I am proud to be appointed as the DEAN of SITRADE which is the first School in Malaysia that focuses on International Trade and Export Education. Being a former officer of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation and also as the Malaysian Trade Commissioner in Belgium and South Africa, I am delighted to share my experience and knowledge to our students through SITRADE. The main objective of SITRADE is to nurture and equip students with industry driven practical knowledge on Export and International trade and become highly desirable in the job market especially with companies and organizations that are already involved in International Trade or are planning to go international. Our other objectives are to provide our students with unique insights and first class knowledge into forces and drivers of globalization and future marketplace of the world, acquaint them with sufficient knowledge and analysis on all outstanding issues pertaining to international trade that will assist them to face the challenges of globalization. SITRADE would also develop and market its programs worldwide through ODL and also in collaboration with International Educational and Training Institutions and hopes to be a world leader in International Trade and Export education and training. Our students upon graduation will have an edge over the others in the employment market especially in companies that are engaged in international businesses, trade finance institutions, logistics companies, government agencies etc. Besides, they could also start their own businesses as export agents, traders, ecommerce business, international trade consultants and overseas companies’ representatives.
